With that in mind, the Voyis team recognized the importance Brazil plays in the industries we service, and the many possibilities for Voyis to work with local companies for subsea inspections. We partnered with strong companies in the Covelya Group, EIVA and Sonardyne, that are already well established in the Brazilian market, to introduce our powerful optical sensors in this new market.
We are delighted to announce that in January 2023 we achieved a great milestone, and confirmed our first sale in Brazil, to DOF Brazil. DOF is a group of international companies operating within the offshore oil and gas service industry, they are leader in the subsea inspection of underwater assets.
DOF acquired from Voyis three units of the Insight Micro Laser Scanner and Stills Camera. The optical sensor will allow DOF to create high accuracy 3D models of offshore energy subsea assets in real-time to reduce risk and provide accurate record of the current state of the structure. Additionally, it will allow users to capture high resolutions still images, corrected in real time for true colour and light levelling.
The Insight Micro laser scanner system was acquired to fulfill survey requirements for new offshore field developments. There is a plethora of survey tasks that could be required within these service contracts. The versatility of the Insight Micro laser scanner provides the ability to accomplish many of these survey tasks with the highest degree of 3D modeling accuracy and precision. Operations such as field mapping, pre-lay routes, post-lay pipeline inspection, as-built surveys, metrologies, and much more.
The sensors provided by Voyis seamlessly integrate with the survey software from our sister company, EIVA, to provide the result in real-time, within a software framework already trusted by most Brazilian surveyors.
