Geosonic has successfully completed an offshore survey campaign supporting Hengtong’s subsea cable installation works on the Farasan Submarine Cable Project, located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. The project forms part of a wider offshore cable installation program supporting regional infrastructure development.

Across the campaign, Geosonic delivered survey and positioning services, including dimensional control onboard the cable lay barge and associated supporting multicat vessels, together with UXO and as-laid cable survey scopes. These activities supported construction readiness, offshore installation, and post-installation verification throughout the project.

Delivering multiple survey disciplines within a single campaign framework ensured continuity of data and efficient offshore execution throughout the construction phases. The project demonstrates Geosonic’s capability to support offshore cable installation projects through consistent and well-coordinated survey delivery.

Faisel Chaudry, Director at Geosonic, commented: “Supporting the Farasan Project across multiple construction phases demonstrates the value of coordinated survey delivery. We were pleased to work closely with Hengtong to support safe and efficient offshore execution.”

Andy Tian, Engineering and Operations Director at Hentong, commented: “Geosonic were a reliable and professional partner throughout the offshore works, delivering consistent support throughout the safe and efficient execution of the project.”
