A recognized water industry expert, Katzke brings more than 20 years of experience spanning business development, operations, and technical excellence across local, state, federal, and private sector markets. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and National Water Market Manager at Kleinfelder, where she led national strategy and growth initiatives.

“Rebecca is a respected leader who builds trusted client relationships, develops high-performing teams, and creates growth opportunities. She understands that our people and culture set us apart and are key to delivering exceptional outcomes,” said Byron Bright, President, US, AtkinsRéalis. “Her extensive water sector expertise and experience in business development and complex project delivery make her the ideal leader to guide the continued development of our US water business and help clients navigate their evolving infrastructure needs.”

The appointment strengthens AtkinsRéalis’ ability to partner with clients in delivering safe, reliable, and future-ready water infrastructure at a time of significant investment across the United States. From flood risk reduction and watershed management to water reuse, treatment, and digital optimization, public and private sector organizations are seeking integrated solutions that improve performance while preparing communities for future challenges. Katzke’s appointment builds on AtkinsRéalis’ commitment to growing its water business globally, following the July appointment of Ian Dyck as Global Market Lead, a newly created leadership role for the firm’s water sector.

“Every community depends on reliable access to safe, high-performing water systems, and AtkinsRéalis is uniquely positioned to help build integrated water solutions that address today’s challenges while preparing for tomorrow’s needs,” said Katzke. “I am excited to work alongside our talented teams to help clients build stronger communities, protect critical resources and deliver generational benefits.”

Katzke returns to AtkinsRéalis after previously spending more than a decade with the company, where she served in several senior roles, including overseeing the Western Water Delivery Team and advancing the organization’s alternative delivery capabilities and global design delivery model. A licensed Professional Engineer in six states, Katzke holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University. She is a Project Management Professional, Certified Floodplain Manager, and Envision Sustainability Professional. Katzke has also served in leadership roles with the American Council of Engineering Companies and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Guided by its global water vision, Engineering Resilience in Every Drop, AtkinsRéalis combines global expertise with local insight to help clients navigate evolving regulatory requirements, funding opportunities, climate-related risks, infrastructure demands, and population growth. The company draws on experience across transportation, power, renewables, environmental services, and digital technologies to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions throughout the water lifecycle.
