Subsea Security and Defence 2027 to Convene Naval Leaders in Singapore

Subsea Security & Defence 2027 will bring naval commanders, defense policymakers, and security operators to Amara Sanctuary Sentosa, Singapore, on February 25–26, 2027, to address growing threats to undersea cables, pipelines, and the wider underwater domain.

Organized by Defence iQ, the second edition of the conference will gather senior leaders from Ministries of Defense, navies, maritime security agencies, and critical infrastructure operators, alongside solution providers in subsea surveillance, protection, and intervention.

Protecting the Region’s Undersea Lifelines

Undersea cables carry the bulk of the world’s data, and subsea pipelines and power links are central to regional energy security. As incidents of cable damage and seabed activity draw greater attention from governments, protecting this infrastructure has become a defense priority across the Asia-Pacific.

Singapore is a fitting host. It is one of Asia’s major landing points for international submarine telecommunication cables, with plans to double its cable landings and expand offshore wind energy.

Under the theme “Strengthening Critical Underwater Infrastructure Security Through Resilience, Innovation & Autonomous Defence,” a main conference day on February 25 will be followed by an executive masterclass on February 26 that places delegates inside a realistic subsea security crisis scenario. Sessions will cover the evolving subsea security landscape in Asia-Pacific, the protection and resilience of critical underwater infrastructure, maritime domain awareness and autonomous underwater capabilities, and cross-border collaboration, governance, and information sharing.

Naval and Defense Leaders on the Program

Highlights include:

Christopher Case, Hybrid Threats Analyst at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), will lead the case study “Operationalizing Multi-Domain Deterrence: Lessons from Operation Baltic Sentry in Critical Undersea Infrastructure Defence,” offering an insider look at how NATO synchronized naval assets, maritime patrol aircraft, and uncrewed systems to protect high-risk seabed corridors.

Captain Anoop Sharma, Defense Advisor at the High Commission of India, will present “Safeguarding the Indo-Pacific Subsea Matrix: Regional Domain Awareness, Multilateral Resilience, and India’s SAGAR Framework,” examining how India’s SAGAR vision guides the Indian Navy’s monitoring of strategic choke points and subsea cable corridors, and how ASEAN–India partnerships can strengthen infrastructure resilience.

They will be joined by speakers from the Royal Thai Navy, the Indonesian Naval Command and Staff College, the Delegation of the European Union to Singapore, Vodafone Business, Kongsberg, the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

Networking in Singapore

Dedicated networking sessions and breaks will connect delegates with naval and defense peers, speakers, and solution providers. Attendees can compare approaches to underwater security, build partnerships across borders and sectors, and turn fresh insights into action within their organizations.

Military and government delegates attend free of charge. Register for Subsea Security & Defence 2027.
