Ocean Installer has been awarded a sizeable contract for decommissioning work on the Byggve, Skirne, and Atla fields in the North Sea:
  • Another award from TotalEnergies that reflects a strong client relationship
  • The project covers the recovery of around 1,000 tonnes of subsea infrastructure
  • Ocean Installer continues to expand its footprint into the growing decommissioning market

The project scope includes engineering, extensive dredging operations, recovery of around 1,000 tonnes of subsea structures and pipelines, and transportation to shore for disposal. Most of the recovered equipment will be recycled or reused. The offshore campaign is scheduled for execution in 2027.

Moreld defines a “Sizeable” contract as between NOK 100 million and 500 million in expected value.

“With this award, we continue to broaden Ocean Installer’s decommissioning track record by applying the same engineering excellence, project execution discipline, and offshore capabilities that define our core business,” said Kevin Murphy, CEO at Ocean Installer.

“This award reflects the strong relationship and trust we have developed with TotalEnergies. It also demonstrates Ocean Installer’s competitiveness and ability to deliver end-of-life projects. Decommissioning is expected to be a growing market going forward for Moreld,” Geir Austigard, CEO of the Moreld group, added.
