THREE60 Energy has announced the appointment of Scott Roy as its new Renewables Director, a key step in the company’s ongoing commitment to a just energy transition and helping customers achieve their Net Zero goals.

With over two decades of experience in the energy industry, including significant work in offshore wind and renewables, Scott’s expertise will be central in driving THREE60’s renewable energy initiatives forward. Having been with THREE60 for five years, previously serving as Strategic Development Director, Scott’s deep understanding of the business makes him ideally suited for this role.

THREE60 has established a strong track record in the energy transition by delivering integrated solutions across various energy sectors, including renewable energy, carbon capture and storage, nuclear, decarbonization, and decommissioning. In the UK, THREE60’s onshore wind offering has focused on turbine and substation operations and maintenance, high voltage switching, grid connection support, and repowering operations. THREE60 has also undertaken projects involving Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hydrogen, wave, and tidal energy integration.

Globally, THREE60’s offshore wind capabilities build on its existing services, encompassing site survey planning and design, client service representation, cable protection system studies, and dynamic power cable analysis. Additionally, the company’s proprietary jacket stabilization solutions, PileProp and Pile Fixation Tooling technologies have been successfully deployed within the North Sea.

These innovations, combined with THREE60’s capabilities in decommissioning, underscore its commitment to providing comprehensive solutions that meet the demands of both the traditional and renewable energy sectors. THREE60’s recent contract award with Sumitomo Electric Industries for the design, manufacture, and installation of carousels and cable management systems further demonstrates the breadth of THREE60’s group capabilities and its commitment to delivering value to its customers.

In his new position, Scott will lead THREE60’s strategic growth efforts across its service line offerings.  Bringing together the strengths of THREE60’s engineering, operations, and product offerings will deliver cohesive, comprehensive solutions, helping customers deliver safe, effective, and sustainable projects and operations.

Scott shared his thoughts on the new role, stating, “I’m thrilled to step into this position at such an exciting and pivotal time in the energy sector. The need for sustainable solutions is more pressing than ever, and I believe that by aligning our diverse range of services with a unified renewables strategy, we can significantly enhance the support we offer to our customers. Whether it’s providing technical expertise, strategic guidance, or hands-on project execution, our goal is to create long-term resilience in our client’s operations. I’m looking forward to working with the team to make a real impact on the energy transition.”
