Tidal developer Spiralis Energy is working to develop its first full-scale device. The company is currently working with Alderney to test a prototype of their Axial Skelter power-generating screws in the Alderney waters. Made from recycled materials and easy to maintain, Spiralis Energy’s tidal solution is simple and scalable and will have a modular design.
Rémi Gruet, CEO of Ocean Energy Europe, welcomed Spiralis Energy to the OEE membership and the Board of Directors, “It is great to see new tidal players enter the market. We are happy to welcome Spiralis Energy to our membership and Board of Directors. Spiralis will bring a fresh perspective, and I look forward to working together with Guy and his team to bring tidal energy to full commercialization.”
CEO of Spiralis Energy, Guy Levene, said, “As a new developer in the tidal market, it is a pleasure for us to engage, at the Board level, with industry professionals and to assist in raising awareness of the tremendous potential in this sector. We look forward to the OEE making a significant impact as the continent moves towards net zero and beyond.”
