RBR has introduced the RBRcoda Tu—their latest real-time sensor redefining precision in underwater turbidity measurements. With exceptional linearity, sensitivity, and durability, the RBRcoda Tu is setting a new benchmark for turbidity monitoring in any environment.

Instrument Details

  • Dual independent optical channels – ensures high sensitivity in low turbidity (0–1,000 FTU) whilst handling high turbidity (up to 20,000 FTU) with an optical backscatter channel.
  • Ultra-compact & rugged – with a titanium body rated for depths up to 6,000 m, yet just 65 mm long.
  • Robust & durable – all optical components resist UV/sunlight aging, and the sapphire optical windows are scratch-proof.
  • Superior performance – fast sampling rates up to 32 Hz, and its high dynamic range permits exposure to full sunlight with exceptionally low detection limits.
  • Energy efficient – ultra-low power consumption at just 2.3 mJ/sample at 4 Hz.

The new sensor can be integrated into an RBR logger, another data logger, or onto an underwater vehicle, including gliders, Argo floats, and AUVs, if you would like a ‘clear’ leader in measuring turbidity on your projects, upgrade to the RBRcoda Tu.
