SYOS Aerospace has introduced a new uncrewed underwater vehicle (UUV), the SU10, which extends the company’s portfolio of autonomous vehicles from the skies to the seabed.

From mine countermeasures through surveillance, interception, inspection, and protection of subsurface oil and gas pipelines and vital telecommunications, the SU10 is a highly capable and adaptable UUV.

With SYOS Aerospace’s proprietary AAIMS software, the SU10 adds another dimension to the company’s integrated multi-domain portfolio of UAVs, UGVs, and USVs.

Built for rapid deployment in complex, high-risk underwater missions, the SU10 can be launched, operated, and recovered remotely by operators anywhere in the world.

It can operate up to 500 meters below the surface, and its fiber-optic tether to the USV enables precise control and performance. It’s four hour battery life can be extended with an external supply.

Introducing the SU10 at the Combined Naval Event in the UK, SYOS Aerospace CEO Samuel Vye said: “The SU10 extends our portfolio underwater and strengthens SYOS as a provider of affordable and interoperable uncrewed capability across land, sea, air, and now subsurface.

“These products stand-alone as class-leaders—or operate as part of a connected, multi-domain uncrewed system—delivering operationally from the skies to the seabed.”

The SU10 enables rapid, scalable operations across both defensive and offensive mission sets. When paired with uncrewed surface vessels and uncrewed aerial systems, it becomes part of an offshore node that can deploy, coordinate, and adapt, while keeping people out of harm’s way.
