The project officially kicked off on July 31, 2025, in Delft, the Netherlands, with the delivery of the first WorkHorse II ADCPs and battery packs, marking a major milestone after extensive groundwork and collaboration.
“Delivering the first units by hand after years of preparation and discussions was a truly rewarding moment,” said Arjan Rietveld, Sales Manager, Imaging & Instruments at Teledyne Marine. “Seeing the enthusiasm of the users who will work with this equipment was the highlight. We’re proud that Rijkswaterstaat chose our robust and trusted WorkHorse II. We couldn’t have done it without the strong collaboration and support from Aqua Vision.”

Jeroen van Dam, Head of Sales and Marketing at Aqua Vision, added: “It’s been fantastic working with Teledyne RD Instruments to make this possible. Their flexibility and commitment to delivering the best possible offer truly made it a collaborative effort. Handing over the ADCPs together with Arjan is the crowning achievement of our joint work.”
The Technical and Contract Manager at Rijkswaterstaat, Ilke Hagendoorn, said: “Rijkswaterstaat employs various types of ADCPs and floats to measure, among other things, flow velocity and direction in Dutch waters. Some of these ADCPs are now more than 20 years old, which shows the high quality of the Teledyne RD Instruments ADCP products. For many years, Aqua Vision has maintained all Teledyne RD Instruments’ ADCPs and floats on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat, consistently proving to be a reliable partner. We are therefore pleased to continue this collaboration and to have Aqua Vision supply us with the new generation of ADCPs from Teledyne RD Instruments in the coming years.”
