Elmeridge Cables: Flexible and Versatile

Elmeridge Cables Limited has shown once again how flexible, versatile, and knowledgeable the Elmeridge team really are.

Elmeridge has completed yet another bespoke cable, on this occasion it was an aerostat cable for the M.O.D, with an original lead time of eight weeks, which were delivered earlier than the customer had expected.

Marine & Offshore

weblogoElmeridge has been able to supply many different bespoke cables for ROV’s, underwater cameras, tow cables, tether cables, and we can supply many different types of umbilical cables which include power, data, and also fibre optics.

Elmeridge was able to produce many of these cables with a special polyurethane tested to a depth of 6,000 meters.

The CTD cables have been very successful in long lengths of up to 10 kilometers and with double armor.

CCTV Pipes & Drains

Since 1987 Pipes & Drains have featured in the Elmeridge range of products, producing a very high standard of camera and pushrod cables for this high-profile sector. Elmeridge is the only company to have designed a GPR rod in a way that it can be pushed further than any other pushrod cable on the market today without breaking. Elmeridge recently produced a fibre optic cable for the use in long culverts under London of up to 5 Kilometres in Length. Many of these cables are produced in Hytrel, Polyurethane, medium and high-density polyethylene.

Crane & Lifts

Elmeridge has supported and advised many companies in this sector to obtain and use the correct cable for the application. There are many different types of crane cables on the market today. They have helped companies extend the life span of their crane cables from between four to six weeks to almost twelve months now, using the correct cable for the application which not only extends the life of the cable, but makes significant savings for the customer. Most of these cables are produced in Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) Thermal Plastic Rubber (TPR) or Polyurethane know as PUR. We have produced many different flatform cables for the lift sector in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Rubber, and now we are able to produce in silicone to be flame retardant and Halogen free.

MV & HV Cables

Elmeridge has been producing MV and HV cables since the early 1990s and was the sole UK representative for Ericsson Power Cables of Sweden and has continued to produce in many different voltages from 11KV and up to 132KV. Recently they started to produce 172KV with the possibility of further increases in the future.

Elmeridge has been working with companies within the renewable energy sector for onshore and offshore cables using all of the following compound’s HDPE, LDPE MDPE, Polyethylene (PE) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Cores are produced in aluminium and copper depending on customer requirements.
