The partnership has successfully completed its first round of Fli deployments and accurately pinpointed integrity issues in two highly deviated offshore wells. Operations included a lightweight rigless deployment, efficient Fli probe pump down and 3D data acquisition. The data was processed by WellSense analysts to deliver rapid well integrity answers and a complete, dynamic picture of each wellbore.
These successful deployments highlight not only the ease-of-use and capability of WellSense’s Fli technology, but the value available to operators through joint collaboration. By combining WellSense’s fiber optic expertise with Geowell’s operational track record and local market knowledge, the partnership has increased operator accessibility to high-quality DFOS well diagnostics.
Annabel Green, CEO at WellSense, explained: ” The Fli system is designed for efficient deployment, enabling streamlined operations and rapid training of field personnel. Its ease of use is critical in helping service companies such as Geowell confidently purchase, deploy, and operate the system independently, while accelerating the adoption of DFOS across the industry. The success of these partnered deployments in Malaysia reflects exactly what we set out to achieve—making advanced surveillance solutions accessible to both local service companies and operators.”
Muhammad Fathuddin, Business Development Director at Geowell Sdn Bhd said: “Fli has demonstrated real value in the field despite challenging well conditions. The simplicity of the system made it straightforward for our team to learn and deploy, allowing us to quickly integrate it into our service offering. This represents another Geowell milestone, by further adding value and enhancing our Optic Services. At Geowell & GSI, we’ve always focused on bringing innovative technologies to Malaysia, and Fli is a strong addition to our portfolio.”
