The investments expand AEVEX’s manufacturing capacity and customer-facing infrastructure to support AEVEX’s rapid scaling and to meet increasing demand for battle-proven autonomous systems.
“Customers are increasingly looking for proven autonomous systems that can be delivered at scale and on shorter operational timelines,” said Roger Wells, Chief Executive Officer of AEVEX. “We are investing to stay ahead of that demand—expanding our production capacity, putting our teams closer to the customer, and building the infrastructure needed to execute as the market continues to grow.”
In Florida, AEVEX is significantly expanding and consolidating its Tampa manufacturing operations to support rising production requirements and establish additional capacity for future growth. The investment is expected to more than double production capacity over the next year while providing greater operational flexibility to respond to customer demand. Tampa’s position within a major US defense and national security hub enhances AEVEX’s proximity to key customers, partners, and mission stakeholders.
The new footprint will include a large-scale ecosystem designed for high-volume production, dedicated space for AEVEX’s expanding additive manufacturing and Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) operations, and increased capacity for manufacturing, engineering, technical, and program personnel.
“Scaling production is about more than just adding space—it is about creating the operational capacity and customer proximity to move quickly as mission requirements evolve,” said Murali Krishnan, Chief Growth Officer at AEVEX. “The Tampa expansion gives us greater flexibility to increase throughput, work closely with customers, and deliver mission-ready systems at the speed and volume they require.”
AEVEX has also secured new dedicated office space in Arlington, Virginia, establishing an expanded hub for close collaboration with US government customers, defense partners, and other national security stakeholders. The location will support teams working across unmanned systems programs, autonomy integration, engineering, program execution, and customer engagement, enabling tighter coordination as mission requirements evolve and new programs move from development to fielding.
“Proximity to the customer is critical to how we operate,” said Krishnan. “The Virginia office will allow our teams to collaborate more closely with customers, better understand evolving mission requirements, and move quickly to deliver the capabilities they need.”
The Florida and Virginia investments form part of AEVEX’s broader strategy to increase manufacturing throughput and build the infrastructure required to support continued growth across its autonomous systems business.
